A stylish Lehua printed beach bag designed by Kailehi, load this bag with everything that you need when hitting those beaches in Hawaii, hula practice, or when you just need a little more room to carry your ukana when you go holoholo.
Inspired by Lehua Blossoms on the slopes of Mauna Loa.
The Lehua design is a depiction of the dense Lehua forests of Mauna Loa, where Lehua trees can be found in abundance. The black and grey colors represent the volcanic rocks of past lava flows. During a volcanic eruption, small forested areas can sometimes be completely surrounded by a lava flow, creating an isolated forested body of land, known as a "Kipuka". These "Kipuka" or small forested bodies of land remain as mini ecosystems for nearby wildlife. This print was inspired by a trip I took to various kipuka on Mauna Loa.
